LISA PHILLIPS
Controller

Lisa Phillips joined the Center in June 2007, bringing with her a range of not-for-profit financial management experience with respect to creating and instituting policies and procedures, managing payroll processes, managing grants, and developing and tracking budgets for various programs. As Controller, she works closely with the Center's Chief Financial Officer to maintain the day-to-day operations and to develop and shape the organization's financial policies and procedures.

Most recently, Lisa worked with Watkins, Meegan, Drury & Co., one of the top regional accounting firms in their Not-For-Profit Group as an Assistant Controller for one of their large clients. Prior to working with the accounting firm, she held the role of Accounting Manager with the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center, a faith-based cultural center, and Finance Manager with Community Teachers Institute, an education advocacy organization.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting from Columbia Union College located in Takoma Park, Maryland. She is also a CPA candidate for the state of Virginia.
