MATT PURUSHOTHAM
Director of Presidential Fellows Program

Matt Purushotham is the Director of the Center's Presidential Fellows Program, a year-long experience for 85 select graduate and undergraduate students from schools across the nation. He plans two annual conferences during which these future leaders meet with journalists, Presidential scholars, and influential policy-makers. Matt communicates with the participating colleges and universities throughout the year and advises them in the annual student selection process in the Spring. He is also responsible for the development of a growing Fellows Alumni Association and edits the yearly anthology of the 20 best Fellows papers on subjects relating to the Presidency. In addition, Matt plays an active role in the Agenda 2008, Civility and National Consortium for Character-Based Leadership projects at the Center.

Matt started as a Research Associate at the Center in November 2007. Prior to moving to Washington, he most recently worked at Trinity Wall Street in New York City, where he worked on Trinity's strategic plan, community service and community partnerships, writing and research in the Human Resources Department. He has a Master's in Public Affairs Journalism from American University's School of Communications (2005) and a Bachelor's in Asian Studies from Trinity College, Connecticut (2001).
