CSPC Vice Chairman David Abshire reflected on the personality of founding father and first President George Washington in a February 18th article in Real Clear Politics. Abshire comments that the civility and compromise constantly demonstrated by George Washington was a leading factor in the early success of this country and states that those personality traits could assist in alleviating the current political dysfunction that is rampant throughout Congress.
