COALITION LAUNCHES NEW INITIATIVE TO FIX THE BROKEN POLITICAL SYSTEM 

March 26, 2020

The Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress is pleased to join FixUS, Issue One, Leadership Now, the Lugar Center, RepresentUS, Stand Up Republic, and Unite America in launching Fix the System. This initiative is a nonpartisan coalition effort to promote effective governance and inclusive representation, a principal mission at CSPC.

AMICUS CURIAE IN MICHIGAN GERRYMANDERING CASE

The CSPC was happy to join our partners at Common Cause, Issue One, Leadership Now, Equal Citizens Foundation, and RepresentUs as Amici Curiae in a case before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Defending the choice of voters in 2018 to create an independent redistricting commission in the State of Michigan, the case will have ramifications for reforms across the nation in the coming years.

NATHANIEL R. MORRIS FELLOWSHIP

The Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress is pleased to announce the creation of the Nathaniel R. Morris Fellowship at the University of Kentucky, in recognition of Nate Morris through the generous gift of the Morris Foundation.

ADM. DAVIDSON: CHINA ASSAULTS INTERNATIONAL ORDER

CSPC Senior Fellow James Kitfield had the opportunity to interview Admiral Philip Davidson on Pacific affairs. The Admiral expressed concern about China, arguing that their violation of international norms in the pacific have created a new Cold War between our governments. The interview appeared in Breaking Defense.
