The Honorable Gerald Parsky

Gerald Parsky is Chairman of Aurora Capital Group L.P., a Los Angeles based U. S. investment firm specializing in the acquisition of U.S. companies.

From 1977 until 1992, Mr. Parsky was affiliated with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he was a Senior Partner and a member of the Executive and Management Committees. From 1974 until 1977, he served as Assistant Secretary of the U. S. Treasury, responsible for capital markets policy; responsible for all of the Treasury Department's international affairs, including trade policy; international monetary policy; investment and energy policy; relations with industrial and developing countries; and U. S. policy relating to the international financial institutions, such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Present activities include: Trustee, The Salk Institute; Trustee, The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation; Leadership Committee, the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University; Advisory Council, Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University; Trustee Emeritus, Princeton University; Member, Council on Foreign Relations; and Board of Directors, The Irvine Company.

Among past activities, Mr. Parsky was a member and Chairman of the Board of Regents, University of California (1996-2008); a Trustee of Princeton University (1981-1991); Chairman of The Commission on the 21st Century Economy (2009); Chairman of The Public Employee Post-Employment Benefits Commission (2007);  member of President Bush’s Commission to Strengthen Social Security (2002); member of President Reagan's Council on Productivity (1980-1984); and member of President Bush's Export Council (1991-1992). Mr. Parsky has been awarded the Woodrow Wilson Institute Corporate Citizen Award; the Alexander Hamilton Award (highest award presented in the U. S. Treasury Department); and was voted One of Ten Outstanding Young Men in America by U. S. Jaycees.

Mr. Parsky is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Virginia Law School.

Mr. Parsky resides in Rancho Santa Fe, California with his wife, Robin.  He has two children, Laura Parsky of San Diego, CA and David Parsky of Los Angeles, California.
