MR. Robert W. Gerber
Robert W. Gerber is a former U.S. diplomat who served at U.S. Embassies in Afghanistan, Haiti, the Netherlands, France, and Iceland during a 20-year Foreign Service career. He also has held senior economic policy-making roles in Washington, DC, including at the U.S. Department of State, the Office of the United States Trade Representative, and as a professional staff member on Capitol Hill.
Mr. Gerber is currently an international business advisor specializing in government affairs strategies and business development for startups in the renewable energy and technology sectors. An expert in trade policy, the digital economy, and the Arctic, Mr. Gerber is passionate about strengthening the transatlantic relationship and creating enabling environments for innovation and inclusive economic development. He holds an MBA from George Washington University, an M.P.P. from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Gerber is a frequent guest speaker on international economic policy and careers in international affairs. He speaks German and French.
