Book Event: The Past & Future of American Intelligence

For the last 20 years, the United States waged a largely clandestine and occasionally covert war against terrorists and insurgents. During that time, China and Russia reemerged as strategic competitors, stressing the international system, and creating new (and renewed) demands for intelligence. How is the Intelligence Community preparing for strategic competition? What still needs to change? Joining CSPC is Douglas London, a former Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency and author of the newly released “The Recruiter: Spying and the Lost Art of American Intelligence”. London’s book offers incredible insights into how America’s spies recruit and run agents, and what challenges the Agency faces in this new era of peer and near peer competition. Mr. London will be in conversation with CSPC’s Director of the Mike Rogers Center for Intelligence & Global Affairs, Joshua C. Huminski.
